The importance of the territory, of the soil as the protagonist of our philosophy also makes efforts to focus on its protection. In this way, natural conservation and sustainability are fundamental foundations on which we base our daily work. Knowing the soil, the composition of the balance between plant, climate, soil and water, with precision, helps to understand why the territories and the grapes that grow in them are expressed differently. We study the plots in detail in order to apply measured and precise agriculture that results in the best possible wines on each estate.
The obsession with the territory is expressed in our three wineries in Ribera del Duero and Rioja, two regions where sustainable viticulture is practised and where the vocation for wines linked to origin is at the heart of everything.
The properties are located at altitudes of around 750 metres in Albelda de Iregua and Nalda, 650 metres in BadarƔn and between 480 and 550 metres in Briones and San Asensio, forming a mosaic of territories that provide a perfect setting for the production of our Nivarius and Proelio wines from La Rioja.
The altitude is also one of the most important parameters in Trus, in Ribera del Duero, seeking a fresher expression of fine red wine and balanced maturation. Micro plots found in estates such as Moradillo, Roa, PeƱaranda or BaƱos de Valdearados.
