A tribute to the land

In Trus there is the seed of Palacios Vinos de Finca. Founded in 1999, it was after the acquisition of the entire winery by Javier Palacios that it was redirected towards the territory as an expression to produce wines that express the typical characteristics of the Ribera, without stridencies and without excesses.

The winery's estates are located in Piñel de abajo, Pesquera de Duero, Quintanilla de Arriba and we work with winegrowers from other areas of the D.O. such as Moradillo, Roa, Nava , Peñaranda or Baños de Valdearados.

Trus, an acronym for Earth, Oak, Grape and Sun, aims to reflect the climatic year in its wines and that they are capable of survive in the bottle and win over the years.

Wines with character, of extreme climate and fresh orientations, that a breeding measure harmonizes and refines so that the message is completely honest. Different and special productions, capable of blending with other wines and achieving a different expression or making up a unique estate wine, with a unique language.

That is why Trus wines can be defined as classics, because an avant-garde look is the one that is directed towards the soil, preserving a typicity that is marked from its deepest roots.

expresses itself through the land that supports it.

TRUS

This red comes from the winery's youngest vineyards and is a journey into the freshest style of Ribera wines.

A direct wine, with a brief ageing in oak that retains fresh fruit flavours and mild spices.

TRUS CRIANZA

The clay-limestone soils of the high-altitude vineyards where this wine comes from define its intense and complex personality, with spicy and ripe fruit notes. It is balanced, fresh and smooth.

TRUS RESERVA

The result of a selection of plots planted with older vines, it is a wine to lay down and enjoy, combining the expression of the land with a long ageing period in the cellar.

It is dense, deep and complex, brimming with fruit and balsam notes as well as noticeable minerality. It boasts round texture and a broad, lingering and balanced volume.

PUNTO GEODÉSICO

This wine comes from vineyards located in geodesic stations in Ribera del Duero (La Aguilera, Baños de Valdearados, Peñaranda, Moradillo de Roa —all of them villages in the province of Burgos).

The wine is a complex red, full of nuances, mineral, vertical, with good acidity and powerful tannins, polished, focused.

PICO DE LUYAS

Behind the Trus winery stands this peak, which perfectly represents the character of the finest sites in Ribera del Duero: limestone soils, with bedrock very close to the surface and clay-loam slopes with limestone where the vines grow in perfect balance.

The south-facing estate lies at an elevation of 900 metres in the village of La Horra. All of these features result in a distinctive Ribera del Duero red that is mineral, intense, rich and full-bodied, ideal to be enjoyed at leisure.

TRUS ALBILLO MAYOR RESERVA 2020

Light straw yellow colour despite its age. Aromas of white flowers and grapefruit
typical of the variety, along with some very light notes of toasted wood and of long
bottle ageing.

Very well-balanced on the palate, with the characteristic fullness of the
variety and a very refreshing natural acidity which bodes well for the wine's ageing.
