FENAVIN and VINEXPO SINGAPORE, the key to open up to new markets

31 July 2023Proelio Gran Reserva 2015 - After a necessary and patient ageing period, the freshness and complexity of Sonsierra Riojana are still very evident. Bodegas Proelio, skilled in the production of red wines in DOCa Rioja, is part of Palacios Vinos de Finca. Proelio's objective is to advocate for and showcase the huge potential of the vineyards in this valley of Rioja.
Proelio Gran Reserva 2015, the second vintage of red wine in this category, demonstrates the potential of the best deep, calcareous terroirs of this zone. These plots are represented using their own names such as: El Codo, La Peña, Cerro las Espinillas and Terreros, where the chalk soils are displayed in fullness, transmitting the structure and freshness that give us eternal wines.
The 2015 vintage was a very good one, and one of the most remarkable of
the last decade.
This year’s ripening was slow and balanced, which is ideal for ageing wines. With a bud break within the norm and with rain during the first months of the cycle, the year continued with a very dry and warm summer, ending in an optimal ripening period where day-night temperature differences allowed for the preservation of freshness, a key feature of the area.
This wine aims to attest to our terroirs where the Tempranillo grape expresses itself in fullness, and offers us a wine with identity, but also a subtle and silky structure where the Tempranillo grape qualities are the main characteristics. The wine is made in wooden vats where it ferments in a traditional way and ages in oak barrels for 24 months with the objective to grow in nuances and complexity.
Proelio Gran Reserva 2015 comes in its second edition, with a limited production of 3,500 bottles, and is available in a wooden box format of 6 bottles.
We hope you enjoy it and that you can sense the hard work that we have tried to transmit through this Gran Reserva 2015.
