NIVARIUS FERMENTADO EN BARRICA

It comes from a selection of vineyards in the Sonsierra Riojana area, Albelda de Iregua, Montes de Clavijo and Nalda, and is made from Viura, Maturana Blanca , Tempranillo Blanco and Garnacha Blanca, which are fermented and aged on their lees in 225-litre barrels.
A white wine oozing classic elegance, it is aromatic and fruity, with floral notes, rich, balanced, versatile, silky and persistent.

VINE AGE
50 to 60 years old for the old Viuras between 500 and 600 metres of altitude and 700-800 metres for the Maturana blanca,  Tempranillo blanco and Garnacha blanca.

SOILS
Mainly calcareous clay, which provides minerality and a percentage of ferrous clay that provides volume on the palate. They are generally deep soils, with a sand and clay component that gives the wine structure, freshness and longevity.

VARIETIES
65% Viura, 15% White Maturana, 10% Tempranillo blanco, 10% Garnacha blanca.

ELABORATION
Harvest with optimal aromatic maturation, light pressing in the absence of oxygen to avoid oxidizing aromas, fermentation in 225-litre French oak barrels at low temperature and subsequent ageing on fine lees for six months in the same barrels, which are stirred daily to give the wine more broadness on the palate and minerality.

AGEING
Six months on its lees in French oak barrels.

13,5%.
