Old vine Viura grown on the Moncalvillo slopes and Alto Najerilla blended with Maturana Blanca from Las Arcas vineyard in Nalda produce a powerful white wine that is aged in large wooden casks. The result is a structured, full-bodied and very expressive wine bursting with fruit notes that gains complexity after some time in the glass.

Elegance and balance in the glass to enjoy with good lobster rice, baked fish, truffled turkey, pickled partridge or red prawns.
Mainly ferrous sandy soils on the southern slopes of the Ebro valley and calcareous silt on the northern slopes. They are generally deep soils with a sandy component and alluvial rocks on the surface and with light layers of clay from 3 meters deep from sedimentation. This blend gives us structure, freshness and longevity in the wine.
70% Viura, 30% Maturana blanca.
Very cool vintage, budding within the usual parameters. The first part of the summer with multiple rains until mid-July, followed by temperatures somewhat lower than usual due to the rain. In the second part it was quite hot during the month of August which implied exceptional health. During maturation, we had favorable weather with contrasting day-to-night temperatures accompanied by some light rains during the harvest at the beginning of September, which means that we were facing one of the coolest vintages in recent years.
AGEING: Ageing on its fermentation lees for twelve months in 35Hl French oak tanks. The lees were stirred with the batonnage technique two times a week during the first 3 months and later they rested static in the oak walls to protect the wine from oxidation.
