About me

For as long as I can remember, I have felt that my life is linked to the land. I was born and raised in a village, Albelda de Iregua, in La Rioja, a region of vineyards, where viticulture has accompanied me throughout my life.

Although my professional career did not begin in wine, but in the meat industry, I was bitten by the bug during a trip to Burgundy and decided, in a way, to return my gaze to the land.

To the vineyard.

I decided to devote myself to a passionate work, that of searching for territories capable of producing unique, singular wines.

Since then, twenty years ago, I have been pursuing this dream.

That is why today, finally, I can present to you the way in which I have seen it come true: Palacios Vinos de Finca, a project that unites land and wine in a way I have always longed for: from the origin to the enjoyment in the glass, I can now live every moment of that process.

Burgundy left in me the desire and passion to return to the land, a dream that materialized in Nivarius and Proelio, the two wineries of the group in Rioja where everything revolves around the origin.

But before that, my entrepreneurial spirit had led me into wine thanks to Trus, today part of Palacios Vinos de Finca.

Trus, in Ribera del Duero, was the way I got started in wine.

Paradoxes of life...

I, a man raised among vineyards, with an attachment to the land and the Rioja wine culture, was part of an innovative project in Ribera del Duero...

However, with time everything came together. And the three wineries are now part of a single philosophy: to search for gifted territories to make unrepeatable wines, different from any other.

Today, the entire Palacios Vinos de Finca team can show the expression of these great terroirs, unique wines with an attachment to the land, to their origin, an interpretation of that magical combination that every year the vineyard, the climate and the grapes form.

We are starting a new and exciting adventure.
