D.O.Ca Rioja.
VINEYARD AREA
La Granja vineyard is located in Nalda, in the MONCALVILLO area, on the right bank of the Iregua river.
ALTITUDE OF THE VINEYARDS:
From 570 metres above sea level.
SOILS
Mainly ferrous clay, with a sandy component of degradation on the surface. The blend gives us agility, depth and great volume on the palate.
VARIETIES
100% white Tempranillo.
ELABORATION
Harvest with a high percentage of grapes with noble rot and overripe grapes that go through a selection table where we separate the grapes with noble botrytis from the rest of the grapes. They are pressed without destemming and once we have the must, the grapes with botrytis are added to ferment in contact with the rest of the wine. When we have reached approximately 12 degrees of alcohol we cool the wine must and then rack it to eliminate the lees and the botrytised grapes. Finally, the wine is left to decant naturally.
AGING
12 months in 500-litre used French oak barrels, followed by one year in stainless steel.
ANALYTICS:
ALCOHOL: 12,5% VOL. RESIDUAL SUGAR: 188 g/l TOTAL ACIDITY: 7.05 g/l
